Alliance Membership Packet – November 2025

To encourage the use of low-carbon gaseous fuels in medium- and heavy-duty vehicles throughout Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Organizational goals

  • Increase awareness of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) and Hydrogen-powered vehicles as an economic and sustainable transportation solution.
  • Develop resources and provide information on NGVs and hydrogen-powered trucks and buses.
  • Organize and participate in events to promote NGV and hydrogen
  • Sponsor substantive conversations with stakeholders about the benefits of NGVs and Hydrogen-powered vehicles.
  • Connect members with other industry participants.
  • Create/identify opportunities for productive industry networking and education.
  • Promote increased use of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and Hydrogen throughout the Pacific Northwest, the Intermountain West, and Southwestern states as a transportation
  • Effectively/proactively engage in state/local policy making to drive positive NGV- and Hydrogen-related policies.
  • Generate momentum and establish a foundation for sustained organizational growth.

Corporate Structure

Currently, the Alliance for Clean Transportation (Alliance) is a part of the Northwest Gas Association (NWGA), a 501(c) (6) organization with a mission to promote the use of natural gas to achieve energy, economic, and environmental goals in the Pacific Northwest. The NWGA’s work aims to facilitate informed decision-making on natural gas-related issues in the region. All funds raised by the Alliance through memberships or other means are dedicated to supporting its objectives, programs, initiatives, and staff.

Organization Activities / Services

  • Keep members informed about industry news and updates through regular newsletters and communications.
  • Encourage collective industry action to promote NGV and Hydrogen fleet adoption.
  • Recruit members to support a larger base of services to include:
    • Develop and maintain a database of members, as well as regional industry leaders.
    • Serve as a clearinghouse for programs and incentives promoting use of RNG and Hydrogen as transportation
  • Host industry events.
  • Represent the industry at applicable conferences and trade shows that educate both industry players and the community at large about the benefits of NGVs, RNG, and Hydrogen.
  • Be a resource to members on NGV, RNG, and Hydrogen issues and connect them with applicable consulting services that help evaluate projects and off-take opportunities.
