The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and the Washington Department of Ecology will discuss their respective Clean Fuels Programs and Standards, including how they developed the programs, how they will function, advance credit, and any other incentives that may help Oregon- and Washington-based fleets transition to low-carbon fuels. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions about their individual plans.

Joel Creswell is a climate policy expert with a background in environmental science and a career spanning the public, private, and academic sectors. His background includes over a decade of environmental field research, federal positions at the Environmental Protection Agency at the House of Representatives, and positions in regional and state government in Washington. He is the Climate Policy Section Manager at the Washington Department of Ecology, where he leads a team focused on a range of greenhouse gas mitigation programs, including the state’s Clean Fuel Standard, Zero Emissions Vehicles program, Hydrofluorocarbon Phasedown, and Volkswagen Settlement.
